I have noticed in the Original Infinite Dungeons you had much more control over the dungeon set-up. This Enhanced Edition of Infinite Dungeons leaves out several options that used to be there to manage the dungeon.
I hope that gets changed. The randomness of items, I always felt was to be expected. This is a dungeon, random people come, die, and fight through out it's existence. It's going to have a wide and varied selection of items left behind.
The OC and expansions had random loot but in a more sensible way, with pre designed items.
Infinite Dungeons was Diablo loot on steroids.
Well, I can't really say you're wrong. I have pulled some pretty crazy weapons out of infinite dungeons before heh
1-on EE i tried with a lvl 5 then lvl 7 magician and always got pwned at firsts / second encounters....
2- does « protection against good » protects vs melee damage ? Or what damages it protects ?
Thx.
It sounds more like your build(s) or gear may simply not be up to the job. Remember that a "magician" (assume Sorceror or Wizard here) has very low AC without buffs. Robes tend to not offer much protection at lower levels, until the more powerful +AC items become available. Basically - use your buffs. Later down the line you can even pick up "Still Spell" and "Automatic Still Spell" to wear armour without spell failure penalties.
Wizards and Sorcerors are normally quite lacking in lower levels, where a meat-sheild can be handy to provide some damage mitigation. They do pick up later though.
