Can't find any articles on it. Could you link it? Yes, I tried googling but nothing came up.
Jim Henson creator of the once popular Muppets. I would guess a reference to the Swedish Chef that spoke mock Swedish. I'm sure you can find a clip on YouTube. Disney now owns Jim Henson Company and they are a sue happy company. I don't know if it was a joke about lawsuits or if they did.
Going this far back 80's there better be a load of ABBA songs playing.
Mainly for everyone to 'get it'. While expecting some 'plot chattering' in the start being Swedish with subs. *pure speculation, as I missed the beta totally*
I guess for verbal interactions.. if there are any with some other humans, I'll expect Swedish with subtitles. Not sure how the game play out, as there are 4 people that are supposed to come in a group?
Don't expect ABBA in 1989, (if it ain't the theme song to 'The Nerd' selectable 'stereotype')
We listened to Black Metal at that time!.. and we still do.
No sane Swedish person ever play games with Swedish language interface, same with operating systems.
As my computer talked to me in English 35 years ago, I've given my computers the same treatment since then.
The game will have full Swedish localization. I rechecked their last Stream, and it were confirmed in the comments.

Not using the language on a regular basis let it degrade really fast.
Nowadays I might get sued by the 'Swedish Chef' muppet, from being more than fluent in it.
Heck I even miss both spelling and the usage of Then/Than now
Generation Zero is set in Sweden, (mostly) developed by Swedes at a Swedish studio's Swedish branch. You can't localise the native language; that's just proof reading. If anything, this is actually an example of English localisation.
Few things bother me more than movies and games that are set in non-Anglosphere countries yet have English dialogue for no valid reason. I never even finished Far Cry 4 for this reason. I genuinely like the gameplay but the fact that the dialogue is in English with a Hindi accent instead of actual Hindi is lazy, farcical and insulting.
I agree that Swedish localisation is unnecessary in most situations though. Curiously, the aforementioned title Far Cry 4 is fully subtitled in Swedish for whatever reason. Nice priorities, Ubisoft... Though subtitles are a lot cheaper than dubbing I guess, so there's that.
It is your opinion, and you have every right to express it, but man... That post went from 0 to Stefan & Krister in one sentence.
I will not buy it when them so lazy
I would love to see a character/npc based on Edvin or Birger/Olvert. Amazing.
