Question about albino animals
Hey guys! Im planning to build a new zoo in sandbox (since i also like to create while i wait for animals to get comfy), and i was thinking to work on getting specifically albino species. Is there a certain way to breed them or is it totally randomized? I got one of the snakes albino, but idk how. Any tips or pieces of advice on how to get albino species?

Also in Sandbox you can only buy normal animals - Albinos in Franchise have their own icon but as they were a result of inbreeding you won't get them as an option in the Sandbox market
I have Albino lions and I have noticed that 2 albino parents only ever have ONE albino offspring whereas a mixed parentage gives larger litters + a chance of 1 or more being albino.

It's randomized as far as I can tell, but once you have one parent that is albino you'll have a higher chance. Two albino parents seem to give mostly albino babies

Its totally random I still have not got one in sandbox mode.

Yeah, unfortunately there's no way to get an albino right now other than to breed about a million animals.
I've yet to get one in a sandbox game, and most of the ones I've gotten in franchise I've purchased.

And considering I'm still hoping that they add melanism, erythrism... who knows if that sort of thing will become easier or more difficult at some point.

I got albino puff adder in sandbox atm that I am completely re-building... but i never got any notice when it happened (including an achievement that never popped up) so it was discovery by accident.

But thank you for responses, folks! <3

As far as i can say from my animals with albinism it's actually a lot simplier than that:
Each offspring of the same gender as the albino gets albinism too. If both parents have albinism, then every child gets it.

Which would be pretty unrealistic...
Do albino animals on the market get special icon in sandbox or no?

Albino Animals are totally Random. It's either going to happen or not.

Good Luck though, once you get one then the chances of getting more is increased!

Wow! Thanks so much!!! I have been preventing in-breeding in habitats, but it’s much harder to keep up with spooders and scorpions let alone trace who the cousins are. I will def do some testing and see if i can get any results.

P.S. this almost feels like trying to breed ahiny pokemon 😂😂😂😂
