This happened to me. All the games mentioned would crash after different amounts of time but within seconds of loading up. I deleted every game's local content and reinstalled. HL1 and CS work fine now. I haven't tried the others.

I´m having this problens too! so i'll wait for the new update to fix this.
I deleted and reinstalled them but still having the crash problem!

Having the same problem, all my saved games from HL1 are gone and CS just shut down seconds after i start up, anyone know what to do?

I bought an old copy of HL1 at a Goodwill for $3 and registered it on Steam. I got all the HL1 packs/mods for free and I'm whining about it. -____-

i understand that valve needs to fix things, it's annoying, but it's not like you paid full price.
i've considered hitting up the goodwill just to see if i could acquire retail copies of games. i mean i have no problem with buying them on steam (most games i would do that for) , but just the fact of actually having hard copies just for the nostalgia alone. it's just funny how times have changed, and retail pc games are a foreign concept now.

Look Up Half Life Platinum Pack and it will explain.

well you didn't specify so how was i suppossed to know? XD and if i remember correctly the platinum pack had one cd key which was used with every game (and then you got dod and ricochet through steam). right?

LOL, I thought this was a HL1 Win 7 crashing discussion, not an argument.

no argument. just clarification needed. bad memory is bad. and to get on topic after the update i haven't had any crashing. turned off vsync on opengl and now i'm good to go. i haven't had any of these problems. and now since i have nothing to contribute i am out of this thread then.
