Gonarch... bad glitch?

hi guys,
I'm at the third Gonarch fight, trying to beat HL for the first time.

So after the crab jumps in the pit, what I'm supposed to do? I tried to jump down myself and pass trhough the boss, and then I arrive in a giant hole with a web on the ceiling.
Problem is, that the boss * doesn't * follow me, and remains in the little corridor above, in the dark. I can not possibly shoot at her, and I'm stuck.
By looking at some let-s play videos it seems that the super-crab is supposed to follow you in the giant hole staing above the web, so you can shoot at the sack. But it's not working for me at all.

Help please! :-)

If you have any gernades left from your adventure then throw em while you still can because once the boss dies this portal opens that takes you to the next chapter. Hope this helps

yeah im having this same issue as well and its pissing me off I'd like to be able to finsih my second play through it and this is my first time playing it on steam as well, so steam is leting me down once again.

I solved it by just restarting the level.
When the boss tries to escape a second time in the pit, quicksave and follow it, then pass trhough it and get in the larger pit behind the "hooks". the boss will throw little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at you the whole time but the hooks will eventually kill her.

i had this bug as well, and it was on my second playthrough of the game, the first time that never hapenned, what i did is what a speedrunner on youtube did, put a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ explosives on the ground of the final arena and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ explode them, the floor will brake letting you go through the portal. The Speedrunner putted a lot of satchels and trip mines to make a hole, but in my playthrough i didn't have all that ♥♥♥♥, but i had my RPG and some grenades. On the video, he blew all that ♥♥♥♥ up once in one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ explosion, but i couldn't do that, so i shot some rockets and throwed all my greandes, one at a time of course, and the floor broke, i was surprised cuz i thought it wouldn't work...

Just to be clear, you have to put your explosives near the two tentacles in the pit that attack you. Stack all your explosives there and keep exploding the ground near them. Eventually it will break away. This is not the intended way to beat the boss, but it's a quick solution to the Gonarch bug. You can also restart and try your luck a second time.

It's 2023, the bug is still evident. But it's worse. I've restarted for like three times, Gonarch won't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jump. The boss isn't hard, but the bug made my life miserable. I HATE THAT STUPID TESTICLE SPIDER THING, I WANT IT TO ♥♥♥♥ ITSELF ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WITH THAT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SOUND IT MAKES.

Just got through the bug by just putting a lot of explosives where the ground tentacles are like an earlier user said. It sucks not being able to beat the boss correctly but this worked for me
