"Blast Pit" fan... I can't get past it.

I don't know what's going on with this. I used to be able to get through the giant fan in "Blast Pit" by just being quick to get up the ladder, but ever since the big update, it seems like the fan starts gets up to speed a lot faster and there's not enough time to slip between the blades even if I try to time it right. Am I doing something wrong, or did something really change?

im pretty sure nothing changed, but dont try timing it as it gets faster and faster, your best chance is to just run like hell up the ladder, then get as high as you can, and jump into it, it will propel you into the ceiling where you have to use the crowbar to break some boards, once broken enough to get through you should see a vent entrence, break it and climb in. i had some trouble on this part too until i got lucky and slipped through. HAPPY HALF-LIFING :P
