It could be a cool mod actually - Doom Guy as the end boss and you're Freeman, having to *think* to beat him.

wrong, doom guy dies in the credits' cast roll of all the id tech 1 doom engine games. gordon just needs to have gman or a vortigaunt warp him there.

Ackshully that was Buddy Dacote in E1, Doomguy takes over starting with E2.
Morgan Freeman wouldn't be able to beat Doomguy, but good news there's no reason for them to fight one another anyways.

Unless the Combine is working with the forces of Hell, I can't see them teaming up. Would they be enemies? No. But they have different priorities. Freeman's priority is "Save Earth from the Combine". The Doom Slayer's priority is "Kill demons. Vengeance for Daisy".

He would if he found humans who were actively working with the forces of Hell. But that's the crux of it. Since neither the HECU personnel nor the Combine are working for Hell, Doomguy would ignore them.
