Any one know how to get the old gun moddles?

The gun moddles in my game are the ones for half life decay and i like the old ones better any one know how to chang the moddles?

Well then I can only assume you are running HD models on. Go to the options and check if 'Enable HD content if available' or something like that is checked. If it is, uncheck it.

am I one of the few people who actually like (let alone prefer) the HD-textured models better than the classic ones? so far, i've heard more complains about it than positive feedback about it

I prefer the classic models because then you experience the game the way it was meant to be experienced, at least model-wise.

To each his own. I personally like a new lick of paint on a game I replay every year. And the Trusty Packs are the more complete packs out there.

I find that 'lick of paint' to look uglier than the default models. The placement of the weapons, the way they are gripped, the textures... *shivers* and something gives me the feeling the reload animations for them are annoying and superflous.

Agreed. High-poly models + high-res textures + Goldsrc + no bump-maps or shaders = blech. Especially when it's in contrast to Half-Life's more traditional/blocky mapping and low-res textures.

Precisely. The high res stuff just looks big and annoying, while Half Life's models are more subtle, positioned better, and give you that classic feel.

There's an option in the menu people.

Just go to the options menu and deselect use HD models.
