Most mods have install instructions. Follow them and you'll be fine.
To each his own. I personally like a new lick of paint on a game I replay every year. And the Trusty Packs are the more complete packs out there.
Agreed. High-poly models + high-res textures + Goldsrc + no bump-maps or shaders = blech. Especially when it's in contrast to Half-Life's more traditional/blocky mapping and low-res textures.
Just go to the options menu and deselect use HD models.
