Half life on Windows 7

yep my computer runs windows 7 and the game runs perfectly (though when it is the first time you launch it the screen goes black but it can be fixed easily)
and how to play you just have to buy the game and press play when it's downloaded

Yes, it runs perfectly fine under Win7 and Win8 and 8.1.

In the ''Library'' tab, select Games, right-click ''Half-Life'', and select ''Properties''. Then click the ''Set launch options...'' and enter the following: -nofbo -nomsaa -gl

Do you have the Steam version or you have it on a CD (Half-Life)?

Anyway, that's not the point. To use launch parametrs create BAT file like: 'start C:\....\hl.exe -nofbo -nomsaa'. Instead of ... put your path to the file and use all parametrs you need
