Security Guard not Following

Hello Steam Community! I'm in a bit of a pickle! I'm currently on Surface Tension, And I'm on the bit where you go through the vent and the marine throws the satchel charge in blah blah. But the security guard won't be much help. You see, he opens the first door just fine and dandy, and follows me to the sandbags. But after that, he just stands there! Not sure if this is jsut some random glitch or if its known. Is it some sort of scripting error? And is there a way to fix it?

Press use on him to get him to follow you. Sometimes they can't get over major terrain or obstacles.

Yeah I managed to get him to the gate after about 15 minutes of pushing him and reloading old saves.

you have to kill an Alien Grunt that is on top of the destroyed building, after that the security will follow you normally.
