'Power Up' area is bugged.

hello, for anyone who played this game, Is this door leading to track power switch area supposed to be closed? i remember you need to kill the monster through this door. do i need opened this door through lever? it seems that i cannot advance with this area closed,
and how do i solve this?

i turned the generator power on, and switched all power on. and the door is still closed.

also i did not use any mod or hacks, already verified integrity of game files too. it still bugging me out.

This is definitely a bug. The doors leading to the coils room should open when you turn the Power Up.

i looked up on steam forum and found that it's a known bug, my only solution is load up my previous save file.

It suck that valve still didn't fix this.

If the door bugs, then you can always abuse another bug your way to the next chapter with the tripbombs.

I just had the same problem. Tried reloading previous saves and starting up the power generator again 3 different times but the big door is still locked. Noclipping gets you through but then the monster can't follow you in to die when you activate the track power, meaning he'll still kill you if you try to ride the train out. I guess I could invincibility cheat my way through that but whats the point?

Somehow reloading the previous level before power up works for me, maybe not for others. I really don't want to enable sv_cheats throughout a level, kinda breaking my immersion.

Had also to reload to have it work. Somehow, I think this is because I have engaged in the soldiers fighting the Gargantua at the beginning of the level. It might have disturbed the script where the Gargantua end up killing the marines and destroying that gate.
