Half Life RTX/Ray Tracing
Does the new update break the RTX mod from Sultim, or does it even affect it with the bug fixes and what not?

For devs with the tools, yes. There is no "Half-Life 1 RTX Remix", because no one has made one for it.

There is however the "Half-Life 1: Ray Traced" by Sultim, which Im referring to

The Sultim-T mod ( https://github.com/sultim-t/xash-rt ) Is based on Xash3D I think, uses a custom executable which wasn't touched by the update, so it should be fine, I haven't tested it.

Just tested, not working. It launches, but no campaign/multiplayer available and menu is a mess.

Works for me so you must have incorrectly followed the installation instructions

Yea but Im wondering if the various bug-fixes are also present in the RTX version, I mean it is using the Half-Life files, but I think it uses a different renderer (Xash3D).

Works perfectly fine for me as well. Like previous comment said you must've not followed the instructions.

I don't think the Xash3D one will have that many of the same updates since it does a lot of the stuff the HL1 vanilla patch notes already talked about (like increasing engine limits) so sadly I don't think there's going to be much carried over since the anniversary patch didn't touch on a lot of the resource files of the vanilla campaign (map files no doubt still the same)
But the people who work on Xash3D will no doubt look at the patch and see if there's anything they can carry over I assume, of course Sultim-T has their own fork so they'd need to separately update that for the Raytraced version.

Thank you, yes thats what I was wondering about, but seeing how it runs (and doesnt immediately crash or such) it's probably not a big issue
