Is it possible to play the original version of Half-Life?
Recently Valve released a new update to Half-Life that added a lot of improvements and new features to this game. This was, of course done as a way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Half-Life which is pretty cool. Half-Life is an amazing game and so is the rest of Valve's titles (except Artifact, but we don't talk about that one) so I'm really glad Valve is making their older games more accessible to younger gamers, it makes their legacy last forever. Despite that, I have encountered many problems that I never saw before like the HUD being too big, the grenades physics being totally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and getting stuck on walls for some reason. While this update is overall a great addition to the Half-Life franchise, making me believe that Valve does indeed care about their games, I really wish they would fix these problems via a patch. I've heard some compare this update to Steam Pipes 2013, but that's a bit of an exaggeration. For the time being, I wonder if there's any way for me to still play the original version of Half-Life until these issues get fixed. If you can find a method, please let me know in the replies.

Yeah just go to properties then betas and then you can swap to the pre-anniversary build

Thanks. I've been using Steam for like 2 years and I never knew I could access builds of previous versions so this is really helpful.
