Bunnyhop is not cheating, it has not been removed by Valve, and it is certainly not VAC-bannable. No idea where Pinhead is coming up with this stuff.

Might need a little more information to solve your issue. I feel like maybe you're missing a step. The way I have mine set up is to create a config file in the game directory titled "bhop.cfg" and paste the following:

bind SPACE "+bhop"
alias +bhop "+jump;wait;-jump;wait;+jump;wait;-jump;wait;+jump;wait;-jump;wait;+jump;wait;-jump;wait;+jump"
alias -bhop "-jump"
echo "BHOP cfg LOADED"

Save it, and to make it automatically load, you can create a "userconfig.cfg" in the same directory and add this line:

"exec bhop.cfg"

It's important to be sure that Windows is preserving the file extensions so they're actual .cfg files and not bhop.cfg.txt files.

The echo line in the script will tell you if the config has successfully loaded by checking the console in game.

Also, do not rebind the SPACE key in the game options or it will undo everything...

Just make your servers with the gravity slightly lower, and it messes up bunny hoppers :D
