Half-Life

M4 vs MP5 (???)
Now I may be the only one who particularly brings this up. Around The release of Half Life, we were equipped with two very special itmes in HL, the MP5 and the Glock 17. However, the HD models were introduced, turning bad player/NPC models into something amazing. Along with that, two major things changed. That MP5 turned into an M4A1, and the Glock turned into a 9mm Beretta.

In a perfect worl (as my point of view) you get to meet both versions of the weapons in the games themselfs. According to the HL storyline, the US Marines invaded Black Mesa.... but what were they carrying? Could they be carrying.... an MP4A1.... along with barnys carrying GERETTAS? (Hybrids BTW, mixed names). The question I ask you, the community is simple. M4 + Beretta VS MP5 + Glock.

One last thing to note, is that 7 Co-Op has a varietty of weapons, so since these two are the SAME GAME, Marines would be carrying different weapons for certian infantry. That's 7 Co-Op for you, adding an MP5 and an M4 alike, combining the both, as well as adding loads of others.

So, choose your pick. (:

MP5 + Glock
i hate the hd pack, they added ugly weapons, and not even fit to half life visuals

MP5 + Glock
The M4 feels too inaccurate for a rifle.

I kinda see your point there. When I hold it in Half-Life, it does seem wierd holding it, and with no iron sights ir really looks bad. Now I understand Valve's style of no ironsights, but the way Gordon holds the M4 is not an accurate position.

I kinda counter that. The M4 feels wierd, but it's also my favourite weapon in most games, and to be honest, the Glock is way to overused, and I think the Beretta looks better.

I always had issues with an MP5 having a greanade launcher, there just isn't enough room for one on an MP5.

I grew up playing with the HD visuals on the PS2 port. Now I have it on pc and I think the original models are far less bulky and just generally fit in with the art style better, like Faultron said

I would believe there is one, but it doesnt fit for that weapon.

one appeared in the movie "End of Days" towards the end (except it fired rockets instead of grenades)

well, in the movie, the grenade launcher attachment on the MP5 was obviously modified to fire either regular grenades or rockets. Because in the 2 scenes where Arnold Schwarzenegger's character fired it, it shot in a straight direction similar to what a rocket would do if fired from a rocket launcher.
