Half-Life WON (CD) does not have music

The CD version of Half-Life,known as Half-Life WON does not have the music/soundtrack on it.I go to the valve folder then the media folder.The tracks are not in but i am dragging the tracks of the Steam version into the WON version but still,there is no music playing.Any help please?

What my previous reply meant is: if you have the CD version then the music tracks are actual audio tracks on the CD, not files within the game's folder structure.

Is your mp3 volume turned up in the game optins?
Also look in your computer's sound mixer that mp3 volume is turned up.

look in your config.cfg file for
bgmvolume "1"

bgmvolume "1" // basically turns on and off the mp3 sounds.: 1 is on 0 is off
When disabled, it pauses the current sound which is being played with "mp3" or "cd" command. To unpause, just reenable.

Have you tried to have Steam redetect your audio hardware?
Steam settings / voice / click box " detect audio devices".

Have you looked on the cd in the valve media folder for the mp3 files?
With the disk in the cd drive the music should play.

Make sure all those music sound files are placed here and named correctly...

i took the ones from the steam version of HL1 (the tracks) and i dragged them to the WON's version on valve/media

i beleave the alt hl1 engine xslash can have the old music in it via downloade
however the steam versone plays music form the dir were thw won vershon playes it thow the cd its self you shold buy the steam vershon thay are the same just with miner bug fixes and muiltyplayer being playabel
