Cheats not working

Out of grenades and rocket ammo, the cheats aren't working so I can't spawn more ammo to kill the tank in my way.
(only in desperate circumbstances)

Enable the cheat, sv_cheats 1, save the game, quit, then load that save. It should work when you enable the cheats again.

You can put sv_cheats 1 in the games startup lauch options. That way you do not have to restart the game to turn cheats on every time.

Some people feel the need to use them.
I only play mutiplayer half-life and mods with their server settings to sv_cheats "0".

Only for situations where it is impossible to move forward, (Opposing force where you have 2 health and a chopper above you and two shock troopers around the corner)

It's ok to cheat on a single player game...they are there bec. the devs themselve uses them when testing the game. Just don't ever cheat online, or you're become a true cheater /hacker looser.

I've finished all games without cheats twice, I despise godmode because it isn't fun. But it isn't fun either when I die in one hit.

That doesn't work, I quit then when I go back to that save the cheats are disabled

Better put the cheat command on the launch option so whenever you launch the game it's already enabled no need to reload a map.
Command is...(yeah the + sign is very important for it to work)

I to can't make the cheats works when I got desperate playing this game the very first time but it was an exciting thrilling hair pulling time of my life I was kinda glad I managed to finish the game without cheating hehe. yet I played it again once I discovered how to cheat properly hehe so all the sp mods I played I often cheat and breeze my way through haha so much fun but boring as hell in the long run!...sometimes I wish there's a lock out mode to stop cheating haha!
