Expanded Arsenal - Question

Hi there,

i downloaded the Expanded Arsenal Files https://www.moddb.com/mods/half-life-expanded-arsenal/downloads/half-life-expanded-arsenal-final-release-v2
and put them into the Half Life Folder. But the new weapons are not working. Is their any idea, how to solve this problem and how to get the weapons?

Right click on half life, Properties>betas>steam_legacy

Latest update broke almost all of the mods. Use that until everything is resloved

strange, tried to deinstall the mod now. But now you have the opposing force weapons and not the classic HL Weapon setup. Just installed everything and installed new. But no classic weapon models avalable. Any idea how to solve this?

Are you installing mods into their own folder?

The mod files are generally just in one folder and you drag that folder into the half-life directory itself. You're not overwriting anything.

Then to launch those mod files, you create a shortcut of the "hl.exe" and "-game" and then whatever the name of the folder is with all the mod files.

So in this case "-game Expanded Arsenal".

Then use that shortcut to run the mod.

There is an option for it, It's called Classic Models within the options menu somewhere, I can't remember off the top of my head.

But read above, make sure you're installing mods properly. You should be able to go pretty ham with mods in HL1 without issue. Other than, them not working with the 25th version.
