What did you expect? Half-Life 2, the game that launched Steam nearly 20 years ago, also had DRM. It's kind of Steam's thing.
HL2 and Steam's coinciding launch began Steam's reputation as a DRM platform. Most of the games I have on Steam, including other classic games from the 90s that originally never had DRM, now require a Steam login.
Steam's DRM throughout the years was so common that GOG established their own distribution platform on the reputation of NOT having DRM.
It is to be expected from Steam.
As many games as I've played with some type of DRM installed I've yet to suffer any issues with them.
It will ALWAYS lead me to believe that the only reason people really want it out of games is to pirate them.
Digital Rights Management. Any anti-piracy measure can be said to be a form of DRM, even those CD keys you used to have to enter when you installed the game way back when.
This is why im glad that i didnt bought that no matter how much cost!
Not really the point. Someone asked a question and I answered.
