How do I get into the Fuel Room

I have gotten to "Blast Pit" and have turned on the giant fan machine, along with the power. After backtracking, I saw the oxygen and fuel tubes head past the Fuel Room, but I cannot get in, how I am supposed to do so?

The giant fan lifts you up where the ventilation system is.

Candy Man, you Sir are a lifesaver. I spent hours trying to figure all this out. Who would have thought the giant fan -- the same fan that killed me more times than I can count -- would be what gets me into the fuel room. Truly, THANK YOU!!!

Thank you as well Nλmeless for driving the point home. I needed it. Was pretty much brain dead at the time. Going to take a break now before I have to evade the monster enough to get back up to the Test Fire button. Which I already I have done only to discover simply turning on the fan/power wasn't freaking enough!

How did you even missed the Oxygen room after turning on the fan? I thought the fan will blow you up to the ceiling and the only way out is through the Fuel room.
