half life:echoes not working

so i've been trying to download this amazing mod and every time its says "could not load library c:\program files (86)\steam\steamapps\common\half life\echoes\cl_dills\client.dll" and so i go to that exact same file and its there, i have no idea what to do, i would really appreciate it if someone woulds help me

have you tried copying the client.dll file in your valve folder and pasting and replacing the one for echoes?

Then go to the "General" tab, then "Set launch options".

Bro. He wasn't responding to you. He was responding to all the people you ignored who are having the same problem. You can't just say "nvm I figured it out" without telling people how you figured it out. Not cool.

FYI I had this problem, but it's because I installed the mod wrong. I extracted it to a separate folder first, then copied the "echoes" folder to my HL folder. Problem with this is that you leave behind two .dll files that are supposed to go into your main HL folder (not the echoes folder).

So the best way to install this is to put the zip file in your main HL folder, then "extract to this folder". This ensures all files are put in the right place.

If anyone else is having this problem still, I think what you NEED to do is make sure is that the "cg.dll" and "cgGL.dll" files are in the "Half-Life" folder, not the "echoes" folder.
