issues installing paranoia

I've been wanting to play paranoia for hl1, but It always gives me an error message saying it can't find hl.exe. I've tried installing it to the default path, the half life folder, even steam apps and I get the same error.

Extract the mod into your Half-Life folder's root, not inside valve or anything.
Then you copy hl.exe, paste a shortcut (not a normal copy, a SHORTCUT), then open the shortcut's properties, inside the target field you add a space and this "-game aom" without the "".

It should look like this: steamapps\common\Half-Life\hl.exe -game aom

Also "aom" is the name of the mod folder. If it's something else, put that in.


Then run the shortcut and play. If you want it on steam so you can use Steam's screenshot or whatever, just add it as a non-steam game to your library.
If it launches default Half-Life instead of AOM, then add the "-game aom" to the game's launch options.
