Resolution problem

I installed half life not too long ago and was stuffing around with the video settings and set the resolution to 1600x900 (I think) as well as putting the game into widescreen mode, and now I have this tiny little resolution where I can't even access the play game buttons let alone the video settings. I was hoping that someone might have a fix for this problem.

Use one of the following methods to resolve resolution/display issues.

Using Launch Settings for Video and Display Problems

- Use the switch -startwindowed / -sw / -windowed / -window / -win to specify Window display mode

- Use the -w # switch (where " # " is a number from the list below) to specify the display resolution:

• 640 (640x480) GoldSource Only
  
• 800 (800x600)
  
• 1024 (1024x768) - This mode offers the best performance for most cards
  
• 1280 (1280x1024) - This mode is optimal for high-end cards

Example: -w 1024

Delete Half-Life Registry Key

1. Open regedit.exe and create a backup (export) of your registry.
   
2. Delete The Registry Key: Half-Life
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ VALVE \ HALF-LIFE
