It says that on the wiki. Also the security guard at the end of Opposing force tells Adrian one of his HECU buddies went down but haven't returned. Although the marines will still shoot at BM personel when they see them (and vice versa).
He mentions a squad of marines going down there, but there is no mention of scientists and guards tagging along. I could be wrong though.
Before that, all soldier interactions (besides shepard) with BM personnel are always hostile. I won't be surprised if the marines did team up with them, because why not? They're stranded in the middle of a crossfire between the more ruthless government operatives and the growing army of aliens/zombies. The marines would really need to get all the help they can get from the civilians at that point.
