Stuck in Half-Life 1, I have no idea how to progress.

Office Complex, Unforeseen Consequences and, the first level I forgot its name. I keep just going in circles and have no clue what to do.

first time? on office complex there is a flooded room, smash the glass and go in, and turn off the light that is electrifying the water, after that, you should see a vent, climb into the vent, mind the Headcrabs, and don't stand up as there is a fan above you, so keep going through the vent untill you fall through the ceiling, and there should be two boxes to push to get to a lader, you should go from there.

Go in circles the opposite direction. That should do it.

I remember getting stuck and not realizing you could go up that vent for like 2 hours myself. The guys doing Black Mesa rearranged that section so you kind of just walk straight into it :P

I'm stuck aswell can't find the dang water room just going up stairs and turning around at the stupid elevator shaft to nowhere
