Can I put bots in a map and play multiplayer?

I'm assuming the multiplayer isn't alive. Even if it is, does the game have bots? How do I add them while playing in bootcamp or crossfire for example?

You need to install a mod/addon.

For easy way, get Jumbot[gamebanana.com]. Install Jumbot, extract it to Steam/steamapps/common/Half-Life and restart Steam (alternatively, you add -game Jumbot in set launch options).

I start a game with Create Server. addbot command doesn't work. Jumbot readme says to get into Custom Game but there is not Custom Game option.

That command also doesn't work.

I deleted jumbot and reinstalled it again. This time Create Server got stuck at Random Map. It didn't let me choose any map and if I clicked on Create with Random Map it CTDed.

I copied maps from HL folder and pasted it into Jumbot file. It worked. It automatically starts with 3 bots. It also disables normal servers. I think to change stuff, add bots etc. one needs to edit the Jumbot .cfg files now but I haven't tried it.

It seems the game was updated at some point but Jumbot hasn't been updated for a very long time. I'm writing this post in case someone else finds it helpful.

Custom maps won't work. You need a bot with metamod to do so. But they're hard to set up.

I can play with bots in Crossfire. That's all I will play probably cos that's what I used to do back when I was playing the game.
