because its how the game is designed, its honestly not a big deal at all, iv never needed to have more than one character follow me.

You can have 4 security guards following at the same time. They are more braves than scientists scientists are the only ones that stop when they find any obstacle. But security guards will follow you in any circunstance if no need of using leaders or jumps.
