Half Life on the 3DS (tutorial)

I'm gonna make it short and easy,
Requirements:
Pc
SD Card
(old or new) 3DS *WITH CUSTOM FIRMWARE AND FBI APP OR HOMEBREW*
Own Half-Life (or Sven Co-op)
Update: The Valve folder from Sven Co-op seems to have been removed

Step 1. Put your SD Card into your pc and then create a folder on the SD Card and name it "xash3d" (without the " obviously)

Step 2. You want to locate the Valve folder in your Half-Life folder [Steam > Steamapps > common > Half-Life > Valve] and then copy the Valve folder onto your SD Card in the xash3d folder you just created (Note: Make sure in the copied version delete any files that are called; config.cfg , video.cfg , and opengl.cfg)

Step 3. Download the Xash3DS CIA (for FBI) or 3dsx (for just Homebrew) here

Place the file somewhere easily found (or if using Homebrew method where ever you store your homebrew apps)

Step 4. (For FBI) Go to SD and look for the Xash3DS.CIA file (wherever you placed it), then click it and press "Install" (or Install and Delete to free up space). One done just press B a few times to go to starting area and press "START" button to exit, and it should pop up in the next 5 or 10 seconds.
(For Homebrew) If you placed the Xash3DS.3dsx file where your normal Homebrew apps are, you should find it easily and launch from there

Step 5. Relax as you wait for the menu (and levels) to load [Load times may vary between 3ds and New 3ds

So, yeah, enjoy and stuff, also do note there may be bugs or glitches, but do keep in mind this is literally Version 0.1
Update: Turns out 3dsx version doesn't seem to work, or at least aswell as the .CIA version

That is awesome. I thought this was based on the Quake port of Half Life but apparently there is a reverse engineered port of the GoldSrc engine. Pretty cool!

I've been having the same problem as CrazyFeverDream and Engidu where the top screen is corrupted and the bottom is solid red, does anyone know how to fix it?
I am using the homebrew launcher on an old 3ds, i also tried waiting 5 minutes but it was just stuck.

Important question which may be the problem, does this game require custom firmware, or to be launched from the home menu? i am trying to launch it from the homebrew launcher using soundhax

Try launching it from the home menu (installing cia version)

I can't install the cia version, as far as i know it requires custom firmware to install it with fbi, and i can't/won't install custom firmware.
Is it not possible to run from the 3dsx on its own?

From what others have said, no unfortunately, and sorry about it, I'll update the tutorial about it

I got it downloaded and everything seems to be working fine, only issue is that I can't interact with anything, no matter what button I press.

I am using a New 2DS XL and the game runs sped up. The voices are sped up and you run around too fast. Is there anyway of fixing this?

The N3DS is slightly more powerful than the non "new 3DS" in the same way the GBC is more powerful than the regular GB
