Half-Life

Half-Life

Half-Life Modding Community Sites
I woke up in the morning of today and realized something. The Steam forums is just not the right place to ask questions about modding Half-Life. Every question I ask, it's like I either get a negative answer or an answer implying a lazy modding tactic. I am also getting HL fanboys assuming that I am desecrating the game's "purity". I just want to mod Half-Life, but I am in the wrong place. Does anyone know of any forum sites from Half-Life modding community websites? And I don't just want tutorials. I want actual advice from modders.

Try moddb.com and gamebanana.com .
Who was telling you that you were ruining the games purity? mods are one of the things that makes it fun.
Are you trying to install mods or make them?

Making them, or at least trying to. Specifically, using the source code found in Github. I want to make a custom Half-Life mod, not a mod with files copied and pasted. That's just lazy.

To answer your other question, I don't have specific people. Just random fanboys who think that DLL files should not be edited nor made. Right, tell that to the modders of Residual Life and Half-Life: Echoes. They couldn't have made their mods just by copying and pasting files from the games.

Those look like good choices. What about TWHL?
