Half-Life Platinum Collection

I purchased the Half-Life Platinum Collection back in 2002, 16 years ago. It came with Half-Life, Opposing Forces, Team Fortress Classic and Counter-Strike. I read online that I could add these games to my Steam account simply by adding the CD-Keys to "Activate a Product on Steam". I go through this process and get an "invalid key" error, I know I have typed the keys correctly. Anyone know if this product would be too old or if there may be an issue with the Platinum Edition? I really do not want to purchase games I Ialready own again. I have over 700 old CD's with various old games I was hoping to add to my steam account so I can get rid of all the physical software.

Expired, probably. You need to buy it.

Now a word of thought: Why do you need to put it on Steam anyway? The Steam version screwed up so many things. Unless you plan on doing multiplayer, but then I would recommend you to get WON2 mod.
