Tell me the scariest music in the half life soundtrack
Mine is sharp short fear. Just for the people who would like to know when sharp short fear plays is when you kill that giant monster.

I would say that the one in the Silo and in the chapter "on a rail" were scary

To me is the song that appears at Nihilanth chamber

“Sirens in the Distance”. It plays at the begining of the “On a Rail” chapter, and, when combined with the eerie moaning that you hear in the background as you enter the abandoned rail system, it creates an ominous tone. Either that or “Traveling Through Limbo”. I can imagine when people first encountered Nihilanth with that playing in the background that they were pretty unsettled.

I personally don't think that's scary. I mean sure it looks like something is chasing you and it's getting closer and closer and closer.....

Also Travelling through limbo is scary because when i first encountered the Nihilanth I just closed the game and never touched it again. Stupid me deleted it from steam because back then I was that guy who would get scared easily.

but sirens in the distance is scary too. Especially that eerie noise it makes like if there was a ghost or aliens.

It doesn’t help that those noises play all throughout On a Rail and in parts of the Xen chapters, especially with the portal before Nihilanth’s chamber.

I think the version from Half Life 2 is creepier, though.

It could be considered scary from certain points of view.

It's not scary since it feels very calm and relaxing and it only plays in the beginning. It prepares you for ''unforeseen consicouencies'' <------I don't know how to spell it I'm Greek.
