Original CD Gunman Chronicles Cdkey

Hello! :)

So i don't know how to explain this, but basically i own Gunman Chronicles since 2001 so the original one obviously, and i decided recently to enter the cdkey into steam to get the game there with the community etc.

And so i did... But something weird happends actually, i mean, it didn't activate my digital copy of Gunman Chronicles but a pack called "Half Life Premium Pack" or something like this, including: Ricochet, HL 1, CS, Team Fortress Classic, HL Opposing Forces, and HL Blue Shift why is that??!

Do you guys have some ideas?

Really? But why? I got to admit that i didn't check before but i mean it's related somehow to Valve and everything so strange. Probably some rights problems?

or maybe steam thinks that gunman keys are retail half-life keys, which then give the games?

Well by memory, at first Gunman Chronicles was planned for Quake 2, then they move to Half Life and so it was a standalone using the HL engine and then they sell it as a self produced title so i don't think it's considered as an extension?

nope, it's a seperate game

I think all the original CD-keys for games on HL engine will give the Half-Life: Platinum. It does not include Gunman and it's not on Steam either. But you can play it as a Half-Life mod:

This was the trick we used here in my country back in 2004. :-) It was possible to get a copy of Gunman Chronicles along with the CD key for as little as 5 EUR in "cheap games" stores.
