Verify integrity of game's files.
Go to library, right-click Half-Life, go to properties, click on Local Files and verify integrity of game's files.

Try typing -heapsize 32000 in the launch options

It is best to put that in the games launch options command-line.
The "-heapsize xxxxx" is for preallocating the amount of ram memory to use before the game starts.

I turned software rendering on, launched a server and the turned OpenGL back on. It solved the hunk_alloc problem for me.
