Does Steam family sharing allow mods?

Hey, I own Half-Life and share it with my brother so basically we can't be playing it at the same time. However I recently installed HL: Decay and it's a co-op mod. None of my friends play HL so can I play it with my brother? Does Steam family sharing allow mods?

Sadly, you can't play the same game at the same time with family sharing. You can use mods, however. I can't play CS:GO (or any other game) at the same time as my brother with sharing, but you both can use different mods and play them, just not at teh same time.

The bottom line is, sadly, you can't play co-op together at the same time, but I do recommend picking up a copy of Half-ife when is goes on sale cheap for him, that way you can play together.

Aah that sucks. Luckily some of my friends do take an interest in HL so i'll suggest Decay for them because i really dont want to play it SP. Thanks a lot
