I'm not even sure why the developer suggested it. Metroidvanias don't really support multiple players by design.
Which is fine by me. Haven't seen any other fanbase being this obsessed with co-op.
Curse of the Moon 2 has local co-op (split screen) that works absolutely fine.
I have so many questions, when it comes to implementing 'side scroller' with co-op. Is this even done before? Yeah, good old salamander had this, but that was due to that the screen was always scrolling... It kind of works differently in the realm of these.
Contra back in the days worked, because it was page flipping, this game does not. So there you go, different game mechanics needs a different take on the question 'how to co-op'...
it isn't just a matter of 'it needs' it...
I thought that was a fun game.
I miss that game so f@$#%@$# much, I wish someone would come along and make a game like that but better, or konami publish it with steam workshop on pc :/ I spent so many hours with my friends on that game, at least 300 or so just grinding out all the items.
but yea, coop mode is a must. theres no reason it aint an option. screw balance, make the game based around the single player experience, n for those who wanna hav fun wit a buddy or 3, thro in a coop mode.
cant wait for chaos mode.
