Is there a way to turn off helmet?

I'm wearing a full helmet for stats but I want to see Miriam's full face and hair.
If there isn't, shouldn't there be?

More detailed description for weapons would be nice too.

You talking about early game? Do not worry, it is the only helmet in the game. All the rest are circlets, hair ribbons, or hats.

Yeah everyone ends up wearing that Dullahan helmet at the start of the game, the stats are just way too good early on to NOT wear it. xD Fortunately there are better things not so later on.

No, seriously. Those first time eaten bonuses add up like crazy. And then your passive stats will be stronger than all your equipment combined. Then you can be fashionable, AND efficient!

Masks counts as accessories, not head pieces. The only odd exception is the Kitsune Mask.

Thanks, I'll try that. I didn't read carefully and didn't know the stat boost bonuses are permanent. I already gave 4-5 of those first-time food to that grandma sitting by the shop :(

Good news: If you cooked the food it's available to buy in the shop, so you don't need to ingredient gather again. Ditto for food components like bread, pasta, and white sauce.

With how attached Johannes is to Miriam, you have no problem needing a source of white sauce.

I didn't even get that dullahan helmet, I thought I was being pretty thorough with the items too. I mean I got the pirate hat which as far as I could tell requires the kung-fu kick technique to reach that early in the game, I know that's not amazing but certainly something 'everyone' probably doesn't get, probably not even half the people.
