Cant beat the first boss
God I feel pathetic, I'm playing on normal but I'm like on my 6th attempt at this damn thing, I dont know if I suck or if this is too hard, am I missing something? I explored everywhere that was possible and didnt have issues with anything before this

As Ashman said, you just have to learn her patterns. Make sure you thoroughly searched the rest of the ship before the fight for extra gear, levels, and potions.

If you're like me, most of your damage is probably being taken by the tentacle she summons in the background. Watch for a tentacle that's much thicker than the others, and jump away from it when it appears.

She takes more damage to her face than to her belly. When she goes to the middle of the screen to do her laser, remember that she reverses the direction of the laser on every swipe (left-to-right, right-to-left, left-to-right, etc). You can run up to hit her while she's doing that relatively safely.

Bah, wasted writing. D:
Maybe this will be useful for other people then.

Just learn its moves. When it's at the front of the ship, walk right up and hit it. When it shoots out the eggs, walk over to those and kill them, then go back to hitting the boss. When it goes towards the middlle of the screen, don't go near it when it does its water spray. Also remember to use your potions if you have any left. You can also grind enemies to level up a couple of times, which should also help.

Learn her moves, be patient, and abuse the fire magic.

The second boss is A LOT harder, so you better learn to play this game with a cool head.

1. You suck indeed. Level up before fight a boss.
2. Learn the boss routine. It will help.

Lucca, for future reference, you can find a shard you like and grind for copies of it. You can have up to 9 at a time and each one will increase the damage a shard does. Prior to the first boss that's basically the only way to power up, but there are lots of options after that and since you're past it, you should be fine for a while at least.

Also, learn to jump/hit. This will increase your attack speed. Damage isn't the only important thing, but the lower your damage is, the longer fights take and the more opportunities the enemy has to hit you.

The bosses are strong, regardless of what weeb losers like Kainevil says. >:o Like everyone else is saying though the most important thing is to learn the patterns. Some bosses are simpler than others, and that first one's straigthforward when you realise you can avoid most of it by jumping and staying up next to her going full aggro when she's on the right.

The second boss though I'm afraid you're ♥♥♥♥ out of luck. He's a SIGNIFICANT difficulty spike and has like a dozen+ attacks. >_< There's no shame in barely limping past the bosses.

Indeed.

Good part is, the game is so good that you will keep playing.

Remember the most important thing; there's always a save point near a boss door and ALWAYS SAVE. :3
