dgvoodooCpl file.ехе is not necessary (it's the configurator and you can move it everywhere), just drop the dll in the system folder *of DXIW* of course :D Does the game crash by itself? Did you add/remove some custom resolution in Windows?

This is strange, but now game is loaded, resolution was low, probably between 640 and 1024, there was 2 cursors, i changed 3-4 locations and then it crashed by itself.. Exept this patch i got translation to my native language. I found one more theme with my problem, so I think it couldnt be solved :c http://steamcommunity.com/app/6920/discussions/0/133258092242779308/

OMG, i cant imagine it! Game works perfectly! I found solution in that discussion one message ago :D I deleted Nvidia Experience, now i havent any problems at all! Maybe i'm just tired and/or blind but is there any pictures that shows the outfit/face differences? Was about to start the game for my first time now but too many options that i don't know how they will look :P

The Visible Upgrade is great. It fixed the resolution, mouse and the level transition issue as well as increased the visual fidelity to more than satisfactory standards. Unfortunately I appear to have an issue that I don't see documented elsewhere.

It seems that at random intervals, sometimes 5 seconds or as much as 12 seconds, the game freezes for about 1-3 seconds and then continues. During the freeze the mouse and sound will also freeze/stutter and then go back to playing as normal. It happens regardless of mouse movement, when it's in the main menu, when you're playing, in video cutscenes or in conversations - it's literally the entire game application.

Uninstalling the mod eliminates the freezing but then the original issues mean the game is just as unplayable. Hopefully there is a solution or a future version of the mod will fix all issues.

Hi, I just downloaded this patch, and just purchased dx:iw on steam because ive been wanting to play it again. intitally i tried without patch, game wouldnt run, ran compatibility stuff, no luck. I tried patch, installed it. Game starts up. Yay!, step forward! however upon starting new game it just goes black screen with ingame cursor still on and after about 45 seconds goes to desktop with no errors or anything.

This needs to be pinned. I wasn't aware this patch was created. I bailed on my account with ttlg forums years ago. At least post it on nexusmods.

With the 1809 build of Windows 10 it seems that a DX8 wrapper (dgVoodoo2 or Crosire's one) is needed if you want the "good old" exclusive fullscreen. Or you can play with Borderless Windowed Fullscreen and set the FPS limit to your monitor refresh rate.

I just want to point out to those who cant get the steam version running, even with this patch and all that junk, The gog version worked for me with the patch.

In theory it's completely indipendent from GoG/Steam (it's a totally different exe) release.

The game works fine with this, but that annoying 30 seconds to 1 minute long black screen prior loading screens is still there. I can only run the game windowed with a borderless windowed software to get it back on "fullscreen", when I do run it on fullscreen though, It wont load anything at all, where a new game or a save file, it just gets stuck in a black screen and gives off a "Victoria" error in the background.

Now, all the problems above are not major, can be easily ignored, what bothers me is that everytime the game loads, it leaves a frozen instance of the game running in the background. In my two hours of play, there were 7 instances of DEIW running Inot-responding) the task manager and I have to close them manually, excluding the instance that is working currently. Any fix for this?
