It probably took me 1-2 hours to complete (with the epilogue), but I've replayed it with the other protagonist and I played the freeware version of Misao, so I kinda knew what I was doing (there are MANY changes between the freeware and this version, though).
* Challenge/Difficulty
It's REALLY easy to die in this game- like sometimes just examining one wrong object can kill you. That being said... it still feels pretty 'fair' because it has a very nice quicksave system and I don't think it will allow you to save while you are in an unwinnable situation. I wouldn't say the puzzles are too obtuse either- mostly a lot of exploration and avoiding the 40+ ways to die.
* Better than Mad Father?
...>> Well... I like it better than Mad Father. I'd say that the plot is thinner than Mad Father's, and the atmosphere is both dark and more than a little quirky... but Misao is one of my favorite horror RPGMaker/Wolf RPG games.
As for whether it was made by one person or not... I'm not really sure, sorry.
PS
It is made by the same person.
...and yeah it's cheesy but I liked the phone thing XD
They is more than one person.
The more definitive questions have alredy been answered here, so I will just go on to say that the harassment Misao went through brought back some unpleasant memories in my own life (except for the more sexual aspects, thank god), so Mad Father was a lot more easy to digest, and I grew more attached to characters in Mad Father, such as the blonde boy with one eye and Aya, whereas in Misao I find most characters fairly unlikeable. Just my opinion, of course.
