Game will not startup,

It used to work, but for some reason it will not anymore, nor will revision.

Details:
-Windows 10
-Gaming laptop (NOT A POTATO)
-Couldn't find steam earlier, installed the start-up mod and added steam.dll to system to get it to this point
-Set to use optimal GPU
-Displays a small window containing a black screen in a fullscreen black screen before stating "Deus Ex has stopped working"
-Tried reinstalling, has not solved problem

I've checked other discussions and most say that the mod should have fixed it or the graphics card should be changed. Any solutions?

i'm suffering from the exact same issues, ever find a fix? mildly frustrating. i really want to play this game again.

I found a fix. I deleted the all the files except the save files, redownloaded it, made sure the cache was working, and used Kentie's launcher. I also found that New Vision can make it run much better (it includes Kentie's launcher and a driver (although the latter is not the latest version).

Im suffering from a similar issue, I just got the dragon sword and I decided to stop after meeting Tong (it was about 1 am and i was starting to crash). So, in the morning, I decided to continue my Deus Ex Kick, but, upon starting up, it crashes whenever I click load game, no error message, no "deus Ex GOTY has stoppe working", it just closes. I look online but, not being to tech snavy, what I thought was the solution was as criptic as latin. Im looking for help to continue what is turning out to be one of my favorite games, please dont deprive me of this opprotunity.

It Didnt really explain how to fix my game, the only thing I can think of is to reinstall and update everything with all the boxes checked.

verifying my cache deleted the patches and restarting didnt do anything, I reinstalled it for a 3rd time, this time checking all the boxes below it, If i have to restart, thats fine, as long as i get to play the game

Hmm... At one point I found that I had to directly click on the .exe to get it to start. Have you tried that?

the problem isnt that its not launching, its that whenever I try to launch load game, it immediatly crashes

none, just the standard, Deus Ex has stopped working, If im lucky, the message never appears, it just closes
