I don't know anything about modding or the PS2 but I doubt its folders are in the same format. System, textures etc. Otherwise I imagine it might be worth the try?

Wow, well done. You obviously didn't read a single thing in the entire post.
Like I said in the original post, you'd want to combine the two to obviously eliminate the loading screens and to have the maps not be smaller. The idea is to get the added detail from those PS2 maps of which there is a lot, and comine it with the original including changing the layout a bit so it's not just textures, to create the best Deus Ex maps possible. Did you guys only read the title? Jesus Christ.
Otherwise nope, you'd need to fire up UnrealEd and manually remake the maps there for PC. Maybe someone will eventually do it, although somehow I cannot really imagine a mod called Deus Ex: PS2 Maps being popular.
