I'm with you, I also think the current version is quite good. I'm all for improvements, but please take your time and use caution not to mess up a good thing. I'm sure this is a challenge, thank you Codemasters for giving us such a great rally sim. 82 hours of fun here so far. - Cheers
I read where you said you speak American. LOL You know, the thread you got locked.
What is American? Never heard of that language before.
Point and case.
A total disregard of everything I just pointed out about sitting on this forum investing all of your free time and instead taking an out of context quote to try to make me look bad. If you read the thread you would understand what I was saying and why i said it. I know you were hoping to shift the attention to me but you really just made yourself look worse by quoting my post directed at you that you wont even acknowledge. I'm not going to waste me time explaining anything I said to you because you will no doubt ignore whatever you want in an attempt to try to make a point.
This is on par with attacking typos when your back is against the wall and you cant defend your point of view.
edit: I realize saying that you took a quote from me was a huge overstatement. You actually incorrectly paraphrased me. You are free to post my original quote where I said "I speak american" if you want to make yourself look worse
2nd Edit: Also, I'll address the whole "the thread you got locked" thing. Did you notice that someone had their post deleted from that thread when it got locked? Last time I checked all of mine were still there.
Typical CM speak. They said the same thing when people reported stuff in DR and D4. Guess what, in the end none of it got fixed. Current FFB is staying as is I'm afraid.
I'm pretty sure internal (and external) testing showed issues with FFB. I refuse to believe testers and developers don't play other games (sims). Probably someone decided at some point that working on FFB is too much effort or is low priority, so they shipped with what they had.
And, please, see also the damage model ... it is not possible to hit a rock at 120 km / h and have only a few damages to the lights and a puncture of the wheel ..
Nothing. Wheel didn't move at speeds over 80mph. The only thing I feel is basically G forces in turns.
I truly hope they find a fix to this. I want to like this game. But every time I play, I become more and more agrivated with the minor things in this game.
Like having to adjust the ingame brightness everytime I begin a new stage. It's either so dark it's black, or so bright it's blinding. Never an in between. No other game on my computer has this problem, it's not a Nvidia issue or monitor issue. I've checked.
And I've written down over 40 separate bugs, anomalies or problems in the game. Ranging from shimmering grass that blinks in and out to broken wiper blades, then audio problems, brightness inconsistencies, certain physics that make no logical sense, and bugs bugs bugs. Then you have the stupid Phil comments at the end, that make me question if he was in the car with me. (I intentionally trashed a Mk II Escort and limped it in and ran the stage insanely slow, yet sated. "That felt fast, etc." or other stupid comments like that.)
I like the game, but I question why this game made it to the public in this condition.
I'm not bashing the game. It has potential. But....... It should be considered in beta stage at this point in time.
I feel the same, see the saw, notice the same. This should be Early Acces or so, or a Beta. Not a released product.
Back to the drawning board and the basics for Codies.Your Racing-era is over. rFactor 2, Automoblista and Assetto Corsa took over.
i think Codemasters are the king of rally, so the Rally-era has just started.
About F1, GT or Endurance the top sims are iRacing, AMS and rFactor2.
Assetto is far behind Raceroom, the worst in Assetto is the lack of front tyre feeling and the constant ice drifting feeling.
Even pCars 2 and Forza7 have a better tyre model than the old Assetto Corsa.
About Competizione it's not enough arcade to be fun and physics/FFB are not enough serious to be a pure sim like iR, AMS or rF2 (and the content is so poor).
But if you are a DR1 and AC fan i understand why you have some bad references.
About the FFB in DR2 it will come soon. If you can't wait go drift on AC.
I fully agree
Think about it. They basically said they would have to re-work every car in the game in order to fix their broken FFB system. Don't be naive guys, it's not happening. I got my $85 back today. If a miracle happens I can always repurchase.
Also, there isn't any perfect sim. They all have thier strong points and weaknesses. What I care about is the polished product. How profesionallly crafted it is and the attention to detail that was had.
I personally always keep going back to PC2, not because I believe it's perfect I regards to physics, Tyre models etc. But because as it is in its current state. It's extremely polished. It explains menu options in great detail, it's virtually bug free. (I've never experienced a gltch, bug, or graphical anomaly.) Nothing feels broken and the user experience is top notch. I've had zero complaints. And that to me is worth my time.
ACC, while in Development. Is a pain to play both in VR and 2D, but it gets a pass until the finished product is finalized.
RF2, Dirt (Genre), F1, I Racing.
None are perfect. I judge a game by the final product as a consumer. And this game is losing its fun because of frustrating problems that should have been caught during the development phase. If anything, the game should have been postponed.
