Car bomb won't place

In the 2nd mission, where you have to place the car bomb in front of a restaurant, the option to actually place it doesn't come up for me. The driver is "sleeping" in the sewers and I am wearing his clothes. I am on the driver's side of the vehicle. I have the bomb pulled out. I even waited till the one guard's back is turned, but while the blue icon shows, the option to place never comes.

Does anyone have a clue on how to fix this?

Same problem, for me the blue icon doesn't event show, there is no way to place the bomb

If you still wonder, you have to hold right click, then scroll to place bomb and then left click
Just whenever you interact spam either space left click or right click and hope you get it

You need to be in a specific spot for it to work properly.
I know it's kind of a finicky thing, but then again, it's a game from 2000.

I have to agree with jalkavamma. You need to be in a specific spot. Try moving right up against the car, bring up the menu that will allow you to select the "Place Bomb" , and slowly walk backward until it highlights, allowing you to select it.

In order to place the bomb you have to equip it first, otherwise the button will just be greyed out. If it's not working, well there are numerous interactions that are not functioning currently. Mission 4 is just a mess with NPC interactions constantly glitching up.

Just played this mission and can confirm you need to equip the bomb as if it's a gun/weapon before you're able to place it in the car. Also, you must be near the drivers door.

You need to get close to the driver door, place bomb inside, and have that bomb equipet in hands.
