Mic Doesn't Work Anymore - HLL
I have updated all of my drivers, selected my HyperX as the default microphone, rebooted, uninstalled and reinstalled the game etc. However, nothing has worked to restore my mic. I can hear everyone else, but my mic does not work after I select HyperX (in-game) from the available audio options. That said, if I choose Wireless Microphone (one of my other options in HLL audio settings) the mic works, but it constantly hot-mics even when not speaking; which would be annoying to other players.

This is a recent issue (within the last month or so). And it is frustrating since I have never experienced this problem after playing the game for a year . I have followed all of the VOIP and audio suggestions offered by Steam, as well as the above mentioned steps to rectify the issue. That said, I have tested my mic and it works in other apps and generally on my PC as the default input and output device. Suggestions? Thank you.

Same... I've got 155 hours in the game over the past couple years or however much since release. Mic has always worked, and my hardware has not changed at all. Yet trying to get back into the game the past few days, my mic never works. Works in Discord, works in Helldiver 2, says I'm connected, went through a bunch of hoops, still not working??
Refer to Mylrez fix it worked for me without disabling Nvidia High def. https://steamcommunity.com/app/686810/discussions/0/604145223442896561/

Hey there,

Thanks so much for reaching out about the issue with your microphone in HLL. I'm really sorry to hear that you're having trouble! It sounds like you've already tried a bunch of solutions, which can be super frustrating.

One thing you could try is deleting this folder: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\HLL. When you do that, the game will regenerate some necessary files, and it might help fix your VoIP issues.

Just a heads up—after deleting that folder, you’ll need to redo your Settings and Keybindings, but it might be worth a try!

Also, could you please check your Time and Date settings in Windows? Make sure they’re synchronised with the internet by selecting "Set Time Automatically" and then hitting "Sync Now" under the “Synchronise your clock” option. If the time is off, try syncing it manually.

Once you've done that, give the game another shot and see if your mic is working. I really hope this helps!

Get back to us when you can!

Regards,
