Updates RUINING performance...
This is actually bad. Game was fine before a couple updates ago, what in the heck happened. Getting micro stutters and frame drops on LOW WTFFFFFF. Unplayable.

The micro stutters are game(map specifically) related or DX12 related.

Not alot you can do, except use DX11 which doesn't give a good frame rate, or optimize your PC for latency to run games better.

It's not the answer you want to hear, but it's all we got.

HLL doesn't care about how good your hardware is, it runs poorly on $4000 PC's.

Back in the day, the best thing I ever found was the last Nvidia drivers that supported "silk smoothness" in the 3D settings, which is unlocked using Nvidia Inspector. I think it was Driver 442.XX.

It made the game so smooth at the cost of latency. Shame they took it out.

If you are CPU bound, you can try to turn on "Low Latency" mode in the 3D settings and by changing the "Texture Filtering" quality to "High Quality". You have overhead to use, and the GPU is waiting for instructions, so use High or Epic in-game settings.

If you are GPU bound, you can try using "High Performance" for "Texture Filtering" quality. Use lower settings in-game for more FPS.
What fixed it for me was: Set the affinity for just physical cores on the steam client, the game will inherit these values and that's what fixed it for me.

Hey gilgamesh!

Thanks for getting in touch.

If you are experiencing the same issue as reported by OP, can you please also pop us your DxDiag information as requested and we can take a look to see if there is anything causing this?

It would also be helpful to know exactly when these issues are occurring in-game - is the game stuttering at certain points for example?

Get back to us when you can.

been like that since the beach maps. for what its worth i think its the streaming texture pool size is set too low to cater to the 1060 3gb crowd back when that was a thing

I say this because I've been an active player up until Stalingrad and its progressively got worse.
the store page lists 4gb min with 1060 6gb rec, but during the mining crazy VRAM modules sky rocketed so many picked my the 3gb cards and the devs at the time had to optimize.
I think thats whats causing the pop in LoDs anyway if the devs could look into it could be nothing or a 5 min fix.

Hey gilgamesh!,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Can you confirm if you are overclocking your PC at all? If so, please try the game again with the default hardware settings - also try setting your graphic options to the lowest settings and the retest. If you have any overclocking software installed such as Afterburner, Tweak or anything similar, please uninstall this software and retest.

You are also receiving quite a few NVIDIA errors on the backend - can you please perform a clean install of your graphics drivers? For steps on how to do this, please see the following article:
If the issue persists following this, please do get back to us with an updated DxDiag and we can investigate further.

@Mezza - we appreciate taking the time to share this with us. Please rest assured that we take all feedback on board and will be sure to make the information you have provided available to our team for investigation.

Please don't hesitate to reach out in the future should you have any further queries.

Hey guys thanks for the tip. I did the Clean Install and set my in game settings to Low which I don't mind because more fps is what I'm after. It's much better but still when entering a housed area I get small stutterers.

not you but the devs have to do this.

until then add this to launch options and / or use process lasso:

-useallavailablecores -lanplay -limitclientticks -noforcefeedback
