Can't set CPU priority to high
I can't set it to high, it says "access denied" when I try, and I have tried to run it in admin mode as well.

This is the only application giving me this issue, and I'm pretty sure that it ran in high priority in the past.

Please advise

Apparently it's an Easy Anti Cheat thing.

Better late than never. Took me some time to find it.

That doesn't do the trick unfortunately.

Hi PotHat,

Sorry to hear you're having this issue.

What exactly says access denied? Is it the game itself or your PC?
Can you please check that your PC user is an admin as it sounds like this is stopping the access?

Please also include a screenshot of the error message with us so that we can understand the issue better.

My user account on my PC is set to administrator. Running the game in administrator mode doesn't make a difference.
It gives this error when I attempt to set the process priority of the application to high.
I'm not sure how to add a screenshot to this forum.

Hi PotHat,

Please share it so an image sharing site such as Imgur for example and post the link.
We can then take a look at the error message.

Hey PotHat,

Thanks for your reply.

This is a Windows error message, but we can try to help.

Please do the following to make sure you're in admin:
  1. Select “Start” and type “CMD“.
  2. Right-click “Command Prompt” then choose “Run as administrator“.
  3. If prompted, enter a username and password that grants admin rights to the computer.
  4. Type: net user administrator /active:yes
  5. Press “Enter“.
If that does not work, you can do the following:
  1. Hold the Windows Key while pressing “R” to bring up the Windows Run dialog box.
  2. Type “lusrmgr.msc“, then press “Enter“.
  3. Open “Users“.
  4. Select “Administrator“.
  5. Uncheck or check “Account is disabled” as desired.
  6. Select “OK“.
You can then try the following:
  1. Make sure you’re Logged in Admin.
  2. Start your program and open the Task Manager, as you did previously.
  3. Click on Show processes from all users to make sure processes are running as Admin.
  4. Try changing the priority now, and see if that fixes the issue.
You can also follow the steps in the link to perform a clean boot[support.microsoft.com]?
A clean boot is being used to start your Windows device using a minimal set of drivers and start-up programs.

Windows 10:
  1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open the Task Manager.
  2. Click More Details.
  3. Select the Startup tab.
  4. Right-click on each item and select Disable.
  5. On the Services tab click to select the Hide all Microsoft services checkbox, and then tap or click Disable all.
  6. Restart the computer.
Once this is done please try to set to high priority again.

To re-enable your start-up programs:
  1. Follow the steps above again but at steps 3 and 5 right-click and enable all of your programs and services again.
  2. Then click Apply and restart your computer.
We hope this helps.

Hi PotHat,

Thanks for trying those steps.

Unfortunately, as this is a Windows error and not a game error we're unable to help further.
We would recommend that you contact a PC specialist or search online for more solutions.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Are you sure? It's the only game out of the 700 or so that I have which has this problem? According to my research it's a software error that needs to be patched, but nevertheless thanks for your help.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
