Thank you for trying to help your friend - it seems that his graphics card drivers are really out of date, can he please update them and retest?
His system is just hitting the minimum system requirements, if he happens to have an SSD drive, can he also try to install the game in it?
Regards,
Team17 Support
We have updated the graphics driver but the issue still persists.
Can you please verify it on your end.
Thanks for trying that.
Can you please ask them to whitelist the following:
- Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat.exe
- Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe
- Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose\Launch_HLL.exe
- Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose\HLL\Binaries\Win64\HLL-Win64-Shipping.exe
- Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose\HLL_BugReportUploader.exe
- Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose\HLL.exe
And check that their anti-virus/windows defender etc is not blocking any game files.Let's also try the following:
Install the game on a different / faster hard drive such as an SSD.
- Navigate to Hell Let Loose in the Steam library
- Right-click and open its properties on the General tab
- Open the "Set Launch Options" and add "-dx12"
- Launch the game
- Attempt to join any server
Note: We don't officially support DX12 yet, we added a DX12 crash fix since some users are experimenting with it - but if you are playing with DX12, you need to be in Windowed Fullscreen mode and you cannot Alt+Tab from the game.Turn off IPV6:
- In the Windows Control Panel, go to Network and Internet, press on Network and Sharing Centre.
- Press the Change Adapter Settings button, and RMB on the network you are currently using, this could be Ethernet or WiFi and press Properties.
- In the following window, disable the IPV6 checkbox and press OK to save the changes, restart your laptop/desktop.
You may need to tick and untick this if it's already unticked.Get back to us when you can.
