EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0xffffffff - UNREAL CRASH
Hi,

Just purchased HLL today. The game always crashes around 10 minutes of game-play, with the UNREAL error prompt below showing on my screen:

- Already tried the following steps:

- Added antivirus exceptions to the game folder
- done SFCscans to drive folder
- disabled full-screen optimization
- manually reinstalled EasyAntiCheat

Whats the fix for this? Hope someone can help. Last thing I'd want is to refund a good game cause of a bug/glitch/comp issue.

Hello,

Thank you for the help yes I did,
So far I have tryed :
I took a look at the event viewer and didn't see any issues
Installed the games on different disk
Run sfc /scannow
Run the game on low settings
Keept a look at temps no issues there.
Reinstalled windows multiple times.
Updated all the drivers I could.
Reinstall graphic cards driver.
Unplug every deviced from pc exept for keyboard and mouse.
Run out of ideas :'(

Thanks for getting back to us and for confirming that for us.

We see that you have both AMD and Nvidia GPU's, are you using SLI at all?
If so can you please disable this and test?

Can you please also make sure that you've selected whichever is the better card as the card to run the game on?

To run the game through your dedicated graphics card, you may need to refer to your graphics card manufacturer's documents. If you are still unsure of how to do this, please contact the manufacturer of your graphics card directly.

We are unable to directly offer you instructions on how to do this. However, if you are connected to the internet, you may find the following useful:

Nvidia
  1. Right-click your desktop, and select NVIDIA Control Panel.
  2. From the left, select Manage 3D Settings.
  3. Select Program Settings and navigate to select the program. (If the program is not in the list, select Add > navigate to the folder ‘…\Steam\steamapps\common’, select the game name folder and then select the .exe.
  4. Click High Performance to select the higher power graphics card to use for that specific application.
    Select Apply.
Amd
    Right-click your desktop, and select Catalyst Control Center.
  1. From the Power drop-down menu, select Switchable Graphics.
  2. Click Browse and navigate to select the program.
  3. Click Power Saving or High Performance to select the graphics card to use for that specific application.
After the steps please retest the game to see if the problem still continues.

Thank you for getting back to us and confirming that.

We have now taken another look at the Dxdiag you sent and we can see there is a program called Blitz.exe that seems to be crashing, can you please uninstall this and retest the game to see of the problem continues?

We can also see you have Razer software on your system, this has been known to cause problems with games. Can you please uninstall this and then retest the game to see if the problem continues?

Hello again and thank you for your support,

I have now uninstall blitzz and Armoury Crate that from what I could understand where the to apps crashing the restated the pc but still no luck the games with unreal engine keep on crashing.
I made sure that there were no files related to any of those applications on the pc but still no luck

We can see some system crashes so to reveal any possible issues with your Windows system, we would like to recommend that you please attempt the following actions:
  1. Open the Windows Start Menu
  2. Type “cmd”
  3. Right-click on Command Prompt > Run as administrator
  4. Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes
  5. Press Enter
  6. If the process has revealed/resolved any issues, please attempt to run the game again
If that doesn't help, can you please disable/uninstall KillerNetworkService.exe and xTendUtility.exe.

We also see your DellInc.AlienwareCommandCenter_5.5.49.0_x64__htrsf667h5kn2 crashing so it may be worth checking if this can be disabled or updated.

Next, can you please try the steps in this article to perform a clean boot? A clean boot is being used to start your Windows device using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.

This came up when I ran the command

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.
