Anti cheat EAC sandbox not active (dummy client)
My game began displaying the message above after I moved my game files whenever I join a server. I've read several discussions talking about fixing this problem but nothing worked. I've repaired my game files, deleted the EAC files then re-installed them, and made sure EAC was working on the official website. Nothing seems to work and I'm stumped, any advice would be helpful.

Alright, so I tried the second two solutions but I think I may have found the problem. For the first solution, within the Easy Anti Cheat folder, There is no EAC.exe file. There is an Easy anti cheat setup but when I've fiddled with that and it gives me the option to repair but it does not fix the problem.

Here's the list of files in my Easy Anti Cheat folder:
Certificates (folder)
Launcher (folder)
Licences (folder)
Localization (folder)

EasyAntiCheat_Setup
EasyAntiCheat_x64.dll
EasyAntiCheat_x86.dll

Hi GifinForEvz,

Sorry to see that you are receiving this error - Please try the following steps:
  1. Right click on "Hell Let Loose" in your Steam library, select "Properties" and then click on "Browse Local Files..."
  2. In here, enter the folder "EasyAntiCheat" and double click on "eac.exe" and select "Repair" which should be on your left corner
  3. Restart your PC and retest

Disable Windows Defender or add an exclusion:
  1. Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection.
  2. Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings, and then under Exclusions, select Add or remove exclusions.
The Add an exclusion option in Windows Security.
  3. Select Add an exclusion, and then select Hell Let Loose folder from \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common. The exclusion will apply to subfolders within a folder as well.
Run as admin:
  1. Run HLL as Admin
  2. Right click Hell Let Loose in Steam Game Library
  3. Select Properties
  4. Select Local Files, Select Browse Local Files (SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose)~
  5. Right-click HLL.exe select properties
  6. Select compatibility tab and click run as admin
  7. See post history

We hope this helps!

Regards,
Team17 Support.
