Long loading times, often leading to failure.
Hey guys. I absolutely love this game, but I have a lot of trouble getting into matches.

Whenever I join a game, the map has to load for about 5 minutes. And as soon as it's ready, I'm kicked out about 50% of the time (usually stating 'lost connection to host' or something regarding the anti-cheat system; I don't have any hacks). Anyone else experiencing this? Any fixes at all?

Greetings Spokiechris,

Sorry to hear that this is happening. Would it be possible to see your system information to see if there is anything that could be causing it? To do this:
  1. Hold down the Windows Key and press R, the Run dialogue should appear > Type dxdiag in the available text field > Click OK
  2. Click Save All Information > Save the file DxDiag.txt to your Desktop so it is easy to find
  3. Open the .txt file, copy all the contents > Paste all the contents to a free text hosting service such as http://justpaste.it, http://textuploader.com or http://freetexthost.com
  4. Copy the link to your post

Hey Team17,
Thanks for the quick reply :). Here's the link: https://justpaste.it/53e65.

I meet the minimum game requirements (albeit barely with my 1050 ti). In game, I have no problems at all. It's just the loading screen taking ages, and when it has finished loading I'm usually disconnected from the server (which I think is simply a direct result from the long loading times).

I haven't experienced anything similar in a different game.

I usually keep task manager at hand (2nd monitor, no alt+tabbing) while joining a game. It fits within my 8gb of ram (usually hits 90% though). CPU and GPU rarely hit 100%, HDD (well, SSHD) is almost continuously at 100%.

Once again, I just have to say that I absolutely love the game that you guys have put down. It's just a pity that it's so hard to get started.

Thanks in advance!

Greetings Spokiechris,

Thank you very much for sending over your system information and for your kind words.

It seems that your Windows and your graphics card drivers are due an update, so let's do those and then retest the game. To update your Windows:

Click on the Windows Key, and then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update

Then your graphics card drivers:

  1. Go to the official NVidia download centre here[www.nvidia.com]
  2. Using the dropdown menus, fill in your graphics card information and press "Search"
  3. In the new page, click on Download and then Download again
  4. Right-click over the file and select Run as administrator
  5. If you are prompted by Windows User Account Control, click on Yes. The installer will prompt you for an extraction path. Most users should be fine with the default path.
  6. Once the driver install has completed, the extracted files will automatically be removed from your PC. Choose OK.
  7. You will next be prompted to accept the NVIDIA software license agreement. Read the contents and then if you agree, click "AGREE AND CONTINUE" to proceed.
  8. Next, choose Custom (Advanced). Then click NEXT.
  9. Select Perform clean install and then click on NEXT.
  10. Once the installation has finished, reboot your PC one more time to complete the installation.

Hope this helps!
